This section contains information on "Robotech the movie" English vocal and film score soundtrack releases. For a movie that was a complete box office failure (well, in the US anyway), there certainly are a lot of soundtracks for it. Note: Please do not ask me where bootleg CDs can be found. You won't find any listed here, and if you email me regarding bootlegs, don't expect any response.
Robotech Musique Originale Du Film
A French single, seemingly with selections of the original film score.
Robotech Musique Originale Du Film
A French 12" vinyl album release of the soundtrack from the French record label Carrre. I'm guessing the track listing is the same as the Argentinean release listed below, but I'm only guessing. Argentinean record label Dessca sublicensed their release from Carrere, so one can only assume the track listings would be similar. The only info I've found on this album is a small scan of the top half of the album cover, which I've grafted (poorly) onto the image of the Argentinean cover. Everything else here is educated guesswork. The song "Shinin' On Top Of A Star" by Randall Rumage doesn't actually appear in the English language version of the film. I have never even heard the song. It may have been included in either the French (if one exists) or Spanish language versions of the film.
"Underground" - Joann Harris & Michael Bradley
An Argentinean 7" vinyl single release of two of the songs featured in the movie. This single was sublicensed by Argentinean record label Dessca, from the French record label Carrre, but with a lot of these releases there's scant info to be found.
Banda Original De Sonido Del Film Robotech
The Argentinean 12" vinyl album release of the soundtrack. The soundtrack was sublicensed by Argentinean record label Dessca, from the French record label Carrre, but with a lot of these releases there's scant info to be found. The song "Shinin' On Top Of A Star" by Randall Rumage doesn't actually appear in the English language version of the film. I have never even heard the song. It may have been included in either the French (if one exists) or Spanish language versions of the film.
Banda Original De Sonido Del Film Robotech
The Argentinean Audio Cassette Album release of the soundtrack. I think this was sublicensed by Argentinean record label Dessca, from the French record label Carrre, but with a lot of these releases there's scant info to be found. The song "Shinin' On Top Of A Star" by Randall Rumage doesn't actually appear in the English language version of the film. I have never even heard the song. Robotech Perfect Soundtrack Album
An almost complete two CD collection of background music and vocal tracks from all the "Robotech" properties. This album was the first time most of the tracks from "Robotech the movie" had been released commercially in the US.
Robotech the Original Soundtrack - 20th Anniversary Edition
A 2006 re-issue of the above Streamline CD set. Not only does this version contain all background music and vocal tracks from all the "Robotech" properties, but has unreleased and unused tracks as well, though none of these previously unissued tracks are from "Robotech the movie". | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
