Robotech Art 3: The Sentinels

Although this book focuses mostly on the aborted Robotech series The Sentinels, there are a couple of pages here dedicated to "Robotech the movie", mostly character profiles and a story outline. However both differ slightly to what is in the actual film. This book was also released in a limited signed hardcover edition (ISBN: 0-89865-576-5).

Robotech: The Masters' Gambit

Sort of, but not really a novelisation of "Robotech the movie" by Jack McKinney, which is a pseudonym for authors James Luceno and Brian Daley. In the novel, most of the elements are there, but the MODAT 5 seems to have been replaced by a group of hackers who help stop the Robotech Masters' plot.

A two comic adaptation of "Robotech the movie" by writer Benny R. Powell and artist Chia-Chi Wang. According to Powell, at the request of the publisher, the story diverted from the source material. The first issue borrowed heavily from the movie while the second diverted greatly from it.
